Juab County Court Calendars Explained
Utah runs one statewide schedule. The public Utah District and Justice Court calendar is the main calendar for Juab County. It spans two rolling weeks. Updates land daily. Pick the Fourth District or the correct Juab or Nephi location. One row can list several details. That includes the case number, public case style, judge, hearing type, time, appearance type, and a Webex link when posted.
Treat it as a working schedule. XChange and MyCourtCase hold the history behind it. A filed notice or order states what a party must do. Old hearings are easier to trace in case history than in that short window. Juvenile and other non-public matters stay off it. Missing listings happen. The clerk can still check the current court schedule without releasing protected data.
Utah's layout for current settings appears in the official calendar interface.

Saved screens never replace a current Juab County calendar check.
Juab Calendar and Case History
A Juab County date can live in four places: XChange case history, MyCourtCase for an authorized party, the public calendar, and a notice or clerk confirmation. Each channel does a different job. The calendar tracks what is scheduled now. History records each setting, reset, and completion. MyCourtCase adds notices and case-change alerts for anyone linked to the case.
| Source | Best use | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Utah calendar | Upcoming two-week Juab settings | Not a certified notice |
| XChange | Public setting and docket history | Omits protected data |
| MyCourtCase | A party's notices and documents | Identity check required |
| Court clerk | Resolve missing or conflicting dates | Correct location required |
Look for the newest future event, then read the latest order. A row that vanished may mean a reset, a cancellation, an update, or an access limit, and it never proves the case ended.
Finding Your Court Date
When a Juab County hearing matters, use every channel you have. Online tools are quick, but the clerk's phone and counter are the practical fallback when a date stays unclear.
- Read the citation, summons, or notice. Copy the case number, court level, and exact location.
- Search XChange or, for your own linked matter, MyCourtCase. Open case history and find the newest future setting.
- Check the state calendar for the same court, judge, date, time, hearing type, and appearance method.
- Call District Court at 435-623-0901, Juab County Justice Court at 435-623-3440, or Nephi City Justice Court at 435-623-1263 if entries differ.
- Visit the clerk at 160 N Main Street in Nephi for District or county Justice matters when phone or web access fails. Ask about the daily schedule.
Give the clerk the case number. Include both the old date and the new one when asking about a move. Ask for current mailing instructions before any written inquiry, and remember that a public courthouse terminal offers free XChange access.
Nephi Monday Court Settings
Nephi City Justice Court holds court every Monday except holidays. That local rhythm matters. A Nephi City citation can name a different court than a Juab County citation. Both are in the county. Judge Barbara Finlinson serves both courts, yet each keeps its own case history. Follow the court printed on the paper.
The city clerk answers at 435-623-1263. Hours run Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The city page gives only Nephi, Utah 84648 rather than a full street address, so call for the exact room before travel.
The official Nephi court page displays that Monday schedule.

City settings still answer to the current notice and clerk.
How to Read a Court Setting
Read the whole row. Every field answers a different arrival question. The hearing type is not the outcome, and a Webex link does not permit remote attendance when the court ordered you to appear in person.
| Date | The scheduled day within the live calendar window. |
|---|---|
| Time | The start time, which may be a group calendar call. |
| Courtroom | The room or location when published; confirm if blank. |
| Judge | The assigned or presiding judicial officer. |
| Setting Type | First appearance, pretrial, trial, sentencing, review, or hearing. |
| Appearance | In person or remote, with a Webex URL when posted. |
The case style is the public caption. A case number separates people with similar names, but Utah numbers are not unique statewide, so pair the number with the Juab court location.
Juab Setting Terms in Plain Words
Labels describe a court date's purpose. They do not announce its final result, and these common meanings line up with Juab County's criminal-process material and the Utah calendars.
- First appearance or arraignment
- The judge explains charges and rights and receives a plea.
- Pretrial conference
- The parties discuss the case after a not-guilty plea and may prepare for trial.
- Trial
- The court hears evidence and argument before a decision.
- Sentencing
- The court imposes terms after a guilty plea or conviction.
- Review or order to show cause
- The court checks compliance with an earlier order.
- Continuance or reset
- A later setting replaces the prior date.
One local rule adds a deadline. For a Fourth District civil law-and-motion setting, Fourth District Rule 10-1-402 requires the return of service to be submitted and docketed by 5 p.m. two working days before the calendar date. Plan around it.
Continuances, Resets, and Cancellations
A reset means the event moved. A cancellation takes a setting off the board, but neither word proves a dismissal. Dig into the chronological case history for a new notice, minute entry, or order. Then scan the public calendar for a replacement. The latest signed direction beats any old row.
The official Juab citation instructions ask that any reschedule request come in as soon as possible, and at least one day before the hearing. An attorney may request a continuance. A request is not approval. Keep the original date unless the court grants the change.
When the calendar looks stale, call the assigned clerk. Give the case number, court, former setting, and claimed new date. Ask which setting controls and whether you appear in person or remotely.
Note: A dropped calendar row alone does not show that a Juab County case was dismissed.
Juab Remote Hearing Details
Webex is an option in Juab County Justice Court. A courthouse laptop is too, unless the court tells you otherwise. The calendar's appearance field sometimes carries a current link. When it doesn't, phone the judge's team or the court itself. A stale link from an earlier hearing should never be reused.
Remote does not mean informal. Join early, use the name tied to the case, keep a stable connection, and follow court directions. An in-person appearance may still be required.
The Juab County Justice Court page gives the local option, contact, and courtroom rules.

The local notice also bars recording or photography without prior judicial approval.
Confirming the Correct Juab Clerk
Court location in Juab County depends on the charge. The Fourth District Court clerk handles felonies and class A misdemeanors. General civil, probate, and other District calendars sit there too. County traffic, infractions, and ordinance matters belong to Juab County Justice Court. So do class B and C misdemeanors and small claims. Nephi City Justice Court takes its own city cases. Juvenile matters go to the Fourth District Juvenile Court. They are not public XChange listings.
| Court | Phone | Date questions |
|---|---|---|
| Fourth District Court | 435-623-0901 | District civil, probate, felony, class A |
| Juab County Justice Court | 435-623-3440 | County Justice settings and remote details |
| Nephi City Justice Court | 435-623-1263 | City cases and Monday settings |
| Fourth District Juvenile Court | 435-623-0922 | Private date questions for authorized people |
Don't ask the County Attorney to certify a calendar entry. The clerk of the originating court owns the record and the schedule, so that office is the contact.
If You Miss a Court Setting
Act at once. Pull up the newest Juab County history and calendar. Then call the right clerk or your attorney. Say plainly that you missed the setting, and ask whether the court entered an order, a warrant, or a new date. Paying online or leaving a message does not cure an absence. So don't assume it does.
Missed a Setting? A required absence can lead to a failure-to-appear entry or warrant.
Contact the court or your attorney immediately and follow the clerk's direction.
Seek advice from a licensed Utah attorney when a warrant, bond issue, or urgent appearance question is involved.
Your next step turns on the court and the case type. Keep proof of every call and any written direction, and check any new date against the updated notice and calendar.
